Updated Sunday Services:
Starting Sept. 16, 2018, we will implement reduced Sunday service for all of our customers. This decision is based on an industry-wide labor shortage of drivers and warehouse workers. We understand similar labor issues have also impacted many of you. With a minimal influx of labor in the Bay Area and the rising cost of living, the local demand for drivers and food service workers has reached an all-time high.
Our hourly drivers and warehouse staff are a critical part of our business. Their quality of life and driver safety is a significant priority for us. These jobs require heavy manual
labor, lots of Bay Area traffic, long hours and often six days a week work schedule. They need time to rest as well as enjoy time with family and their community.
This new service will reduce our current Sunday delivery from 22 routes to 8 routes based on driver availability. Unfortunately, some current Sunday customers will not be able to get their standard Sunday deliveries. We are committed to helping these customers receive enough product to get them through their Sunday business. To help ease this transition, we will also be offering will call services Friday’s and Saturday’s starting Sept. 14, 2018. We value every one of our customers.
