About Gypsy Cheese Company.
Gypsy Cheese Co. was founded in 2013 by John and Lauren Bowne, with the goal of creating delicious and unique cheeses. Gypsy Cheese is located in Valley Ford, just west of Petaluma, a region with over a century of cheese-making heritage under its belt. The Bowne’s rely on fresh local milk that is never pasteurized to craft their handmade cheeses, and utilize minimal commercial cultures in their products. As a result, the wonderfully complex flavors of their cheeses represent the true terroir of the area.
