Seasons: Fall/Winter
Origin: Monterey County - California

The largest of the citrus fruits, the Pomelo resembles its close relative the grapefruit and, despite its size and exceedingly thick pith, is generally sweeter than the grapefruit, too. Pomelos are native to southeast Asia and range in color from green to pale yellow. The membrane surrounding the segments tends to be bitter, but the flesh itself is low in acid, somewhat dry and mild.
