Characterized by its mottled and bumpy yellow-green skin (Peil de Sapo translates to "toad skin"), this melon proffers a wonderfully sweet, juicy and lush fruit. Oblong in shape, with a pale green to white flesh and seeded center, these melons have also gone under the moniker Santa Claus or Christmas melons, for their renowned storage capabilities. A superb base note for sorbet, blend into soups or cocktails, dice into salsas or just enjoy properly chilled.
