Description

Also known as the Pasilla Negro, this chile rings in at about 1,000 to 2,000 Scoville units, making it a pleasantly spicy addition to recipes that will not overpower. Approximately 6 inches long, its color will be a glossy, almost black purple, and it has a thin, delicate flesh. Rehydrate and use in soups, purees, sauces and marinades.
