Community Involvement

In staying with GreenLeaf’s mission and values, we give back to the communities in which we serve through volunteering, food donation, and monetary support benefitting food banks, community centers, schools, fire departments, sustainable farming, feeding those in-need, and restaurant industry advocacy.

Eco Farm is the oldest and largest sustainable farming conference in the West, focusing on bringing together farmers, ranchers, and food system workers to inspire each other and be the change that makes a difference.

Meals on Wheels’ mission is to enrich the lives of seniors and assist them in maintaining independence by providing nutritious food, human connections, and social support. They produce over 10,000 nutritious meals every day, 7 days per week, delivering them to homebound seniors, as well as providing groceries, well-being checks, nutrition counseling, social work, and minor home repairs.

The Golden Gate Restaurant Association’s mission is to celebrate and empower the restaurant community through advocacy, education, marketing, events, and training.

Ongoing Food Donation

Second Harvest offers a number of free food resources, with the mission to ensure that anyone who needs a healthy meal can get one. Their volunteers, donors, and supporters help provide food to families, multi-generational households, seniors, and college students. On average, Second Harvest serves about 460,000 people a month.

Loaves and Fishes provides hot and nutritious meals to hungry individuals at no cost. Their Prepared Meal Program provides “to go” meals five days a week, serving low income families and disadvantaged individuals with a special concern for children, families, seniors, veterans, students, the disabled, and individuals experiencing homelessness. Their A La Carte Food Recovery program delivers an average of 35,000 meals per week across the Bay Area.

Annual Food & Clothing Collection

Around Thanksgiving, the Greenleaf team gathers canned foods, clothing, blankets, and socks for the Bay Area non-profit Loaves and Fishes.

During the holiday season, the GreenLeaf team collects new toys for the children in our community.

GreenLeaf proudly sponsored the Tri-Valley Restaurant Week Kick-Off Dinner at Wente, benefiting Open Heart Kitchen, the largest hot meal program of its kind in the Tri-Valley area. Open Heart Kitchen focuses on feeding the hungry across multiple locations in Pleasanton, Livermore, and Dublin. Last year, they served more than 2 million meals to those in need.

The Big Sur Food & Wine Festival is a project of the Big Sur Food & Wine Foundation, a non-profit charitable trust created as a support vehicle to the Big Sur community. Its intention is to stimulate the local economy and donate event proceeds to non-profits that benefit health, safety, education, and the arts.
